I wanted to share our pottery adventure with you for a couple of reasons. The finished pieces will be available for pick up in 5 days. The last step of this pottery adventure is leaving your ceramics at the studio to be later glazed and fired. Plan on an hour and a half to two hours to complete your piece. It is now one of my treasured pieces and not just for my own artwork.
Maybe not “Michelangelo-worthy” but we had fun and that was all that mattered.
We also decided to rely on our own artistic talents, as they may be, rather than use one of their available painting templates.
Honestly, it took quite a while for us to pick our choice of ceramics, but in the end we each chose small trays to decorate. Color Me Mine offers an amazing range of ceramic choices covering bowls, dishes, statues and platters to name just a few. The cost of your pottery adventure will be a studio fee of $8 per painter along with the cost of the pieces. Located at Thompson’s Point in Portland, the studio is part of a paint your own ceramics chain with a studio available for walk-ins, workshops, and parties. Recently, my daughter treated me to a wonderful mother daughter day at the Color Me Mine Paint Your Own Pottery Studios.
